\"\"<\/a>Everyday, twice a day, for the past 6 years, I have driven a fourteen-mile circuit through town because I am my children’s school bus. Starting last year, however, things began to get very interesting. That’s when construction began in earnest for the Washington D.C. metro line extension out to Dulles airport<\/a> and the HOT lane for the Capital Beltway<\/a>. I live and drive at the intersection of these two mega-projects. My drive is now defined by orange cones, flashing signs, and new traffic patterns.

\nSadly, I can’t really photograph all this while I’m driving. As luck would have it though, this last Saturday morning I had to take my oldest sons to a Boy Scout event at 7:00 am and after quickly checking the sunrise\/sunset time website, I realized that I could drop them off and make it to the top floor of the parking garage at the mall before sunrise and hopefully get some interesting pictures of all the construction.
