I can play with my template forever and still not be happy with it. I need to stop — I can always keep making it prettier — enough tinkering. And so, to get to know me, I offer an introductory daybook as formatted by the Simple Woman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Outside my window<\/strong> it is dreary and grey. It is the kind of day that makes my eyes hurt — I need to turn on the lights to see what I’m doing. It’s that age thing.<\/p>\n

I am thinking<\/strong> that I ought to put this away and get the 3 year old dressed so we can run to Home Depot. I need to pick up some clamps to hold up the yards of black fabric I bought the other day as backdrop for pictures for my 6 month old.<\/p>\n

I am thankful for<\/strong> a gigglying baby boy, even when he spits up all over me and the floor and the dog.<\/p>\n

From the kitchen<\/strong>: the remainder of the banana bread is going very quickly. It’s especially good when it’s lightly toasted and covered with butter. Yum!<\/p>\n

I am wearing.<\/strong> capris and they are not nearly warm enough for the weather. Isn’t it May? Why is it still cold?<\/p>\n

I am creating<\/strong> a blog! Ha! Well and also attempting to alter a pretzel box into something pretty as a craft for my daughter’s upcoming slumber party. Oh, and planning that party and hopefully getting the e-vites out soon…<\/p>\n

I am going<\/strong> to put up several posts and update my twitter account.<\/p>\n

I am reading<\/strong> Mariette in Ecstasy<\/em> based on the Anchoress’s recommendation. Not far enough to have an opinion. In some ways it reminds me of This House of Brede<\/em> (maybe just because it’s about cloistered nuns?).<\/p>\n

I am hoping<\/strong> the sun will come out today. I wanted to take Luke’s 6 month portrait today.<\/p>\n

I am hearing<\/strong> two puppies playing and tugging on a dog toy. India is a small black lab mix and Pixie is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.<\/p>\n

Around the house<\/strong> too many things need cleaning and putting away. Maybe if I just shut my eyes tighter they will all go away. Sigh, no such luck!<\/p>\n
