Last week during the lovely break from hot weather, I took the little boys to a nearby botanical garden. We took lots of pictures and there were a lot of them that turned out very cute of the boys — I will take them back again in the fall for some beautiful fall portraits. But since we went in mid-afternoon, the light was very boring and the landscape and flower pictures just lacked sparkle — nicely composed (I think) just boring. Textures to the rescue!
We had a lot of fun the rest of the week — going to the local petting zoo and the pool as well but I think everyone is happy the older kids are back now.
The poor big kids are all covered head-to-toe with awful bug bites. But benedryl and oatmeal baths are taking care of that. It’s nice to have everyone back home.
